Have you ever heard of a man named Yitzhak Kaduri? Yeah, me neither. That's his picture over there on the left. Still no recognition? You will remember his name after reading this, that's for sure.

Yitzhak Kaduri is, or was, "a Mizrahi Haredi rabbi and kabbalist who devoted his life to Torah study and prayer on behalf of the Jewish people" (according to Wikipedia). The following paragraph is also from Wikipedia.

"Before his death, Kaduri had said that he expected the Jewish Messiah to arrive soon, and that he had met him a year earlier. It has been alleged that he left a hand-written note to his followers and they were reportedly instructed to only open the note after Rabbi Kaduri had been dead for one year. After this time period had passed, the note was opened by these followers and was found to read, "ירים העם ויוכיח שדברו ותורתו עומדים" (translated as "he will raise the people and confirm that his word and law are standing"), which by acronym, suggested the name "Yehoshua." "Yehoshua" is the Hebrew version of "Joshua" or "Jesus"."

A Jewish rabbi, who devoted His teaching to the Torah, has decided that the long-awaited Jewish Messiah would come soon. And that that Messiah's name . . . is Jesus? Oh, my!!

Kaduri died in 2006 at the ripe old age of 108. 200,000 people attended his funeral. Before his death Kaduri stated that this Messiah, Jesus, would not return until a certain beloved Jewish leader had died. That "certain leader" was named Ariel Sharon. In case you missed the news over the weekend, Ariel Sharon passed away on Saturday.

So what does all this mean? Why is all this important? I don't know. Perhaps it means nothing. But isn't it interesting? It is true that we live in very exciting times . . . very biblically significant times. As a Christian, I look forward to my Lords coming. All of us should. Will he come back in our lifetime? No one knows. Not even Jesus. Only God knows.

There is a documentary about this whole thing. You can buy it on Amazon. Same with the book. I've heard it's author, Carl Gallups, several times. He is the pastor of a church in Florida. This guy is VERY believable and excited about his book. Understandable. But I think he is even more excited about the coming of Christ. We ALL should be.

Your question for the day, your challenge, is "What if you knew that Jesus actually WAS coming back and He was coming back on Tuesday? How would you live the last few hours before He arrived? Hmm? What would you do? Interesting question.

I don't know if any of this Kaduri revelation is important or not, But it DOES serve as a reminder for us, that we ALL must be ready for the day of His return. One thing is for sure. Kaduri WILL be right. Because, as far as we Christians are concerned, Jesus IS the Messiah and He WILL return after Ariel Sharon's death.
