I read two news stories this morning (links below). Both stories were sports related, and both stories featured the Communist Chinese government.
The first story was about China's use of "fake snow" for the Winter Olymics. Fake snow simple means "man-made' snow, as opposed to God-made or naturally occurring snow. But seeing as China is making the snow, we'll just call it fake.
NASA recently released a satellite photo of the area China is using for the alpine events. The only snow in the entire photo was specific to the ski trails and bobsled runs. There was no snow anywhere on any of the mountains. Fake!
The second story was about an outspoken NBA player named Enes Kanter Freedom (an ironic name for this story). Freedom was an outspoken critic of China and their genocide against the Uyghur people. Freedom was recently traded by the Celtics to Houston, where he was immediately waved.
Interesting sidenote: China's interest in the NBA began in 2002 when Yau Ming was drafted by the . . . are you ready for this? . . . The Houston Rockets.
China is 100% against a free, Christ-centered church. They are also against and "freedom" that speaks against their country's political actions or policies.
China has been persecuting Christians for years. They tear down their churches and arrest their pastors. Many have disappeared, never to be seen again. China is an atheistic country. No room for Jesus there! Yet there is an underground church that is growing, despite the persecution.
No matter how hard China tries, they will never overcome God. They can remove the churches, but Christians still worship and pray. They can imprison or murder the pastors, but they will still lead. Any government, even our own, if it turns its back on God, will ultimately fail.
Quit watching and supporting China-based sports and businesses. When you pick up something to buy in Walmart, look to see where it is made. There is no place is a Christian's life for ANYTHING made by Satan or his underlings.
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Unless you are "worshipping" something else.
