We The People


"Sticks and stones may hurt my bones, but words with never hurt me."

That childhood limerick might have worked for us kids when I was growing up but in the political arena of today it has proven to be a big, fat lie.

We witnessed an assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump this past Saturday. I have a few questions.

How did a 20-year old guy get on top of a nearby building with a rifle? Somebody in the "Secret Service" did not do their job.

The news media always seems obsessed with finding out who the shooter was. And, in nearly every case, they ALWAYS get it wrong. At first, we heard it was a Chinese national. Wrong. What's really going on here?

Let's go back to a story about Jesus in The Bible and I'll take a look.

"Now the Festival of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people. Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve." - Luke 22:1-3

There are several things worthy of note in those three verses, but the biggest is this: Satan ENTERED Judas.

Pro tip: Satan will not enter where the Holy Spirit (The Restrainer) is present. That tells us all we need to know about Judas. And each other.

Next, it was the chief priests and the teachers of the law who wanted to KILL Jesus. Who would they be in the present-day Trump scenario? I'll let YOU answer that. There are several possibilities.

That brings us to the third interesting thing in this Luke 3 text. "They were afraid of the people."

Pick up your copy on the U.S. Constitution. I'll wait.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

We, the people, have it within our power to elect officials. WE choose. We do NOT have the right to kill them.

When our elected officials get into the habit of referring to their opponents as 'Hitler' or as a 'threat to democracy,' they need to remember that WE are in charge, not them. Their inflammatory words only encourage others to act according to Satan's will, not God's.

It is In God We Trust, not Satan.

Here's an interesting quote from Joe Biden as reported by The Western Journal:

The left, it seems, will go to anything length to maintain their grip on power. So, am I saying that the shooter was hired by The Left? No. But what I AM saying is, that if they did, it would not surprise me.

"The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." - Ecclesiastes 10:2

If we place our hope in presidential candidates we are fools. Trust in God, not man. "In God We Trust" is the official motto of the United States of America. It's about time we act like we mean it. To God be the glory. Not man.
