Your Worth


Why are you so sad and downcast? Don't you know that the Lord loves you? Don't you know that He cares about you?

"You are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you." - Isaiah 43:4

God is speaking to Israel in that verse but He is also speaking to you and me. His children. Those who have chosen to follow his Son, Jesus.

What would God do for you? Well, He gave up His one and only Son so that you might live. Would you do something like that for someone you didn't love?

There have been many times in my life when I have felt unworthy of God's grace. All I needed to do to snap out of it was to focus on God. Read some reminders in His Word, or talk to God in prayer. Spend time with a friend that He has blessed you with.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39

Our problem is that we keep forgetting how much God loves us and just how filled with His grace and mercy our lives really are.

We should be praying, praising, trusting, and depending on God more than ever in these last days. For He is our only hope.

Princess Leia once said, "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope."

Ha! Leia was a fool. God is God, not only near, but also "far, far away." He is God not only in this present age but also in times past and future.

"In all your ways submit to him and He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:6

"I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." - Ephesians 3:17-21
